The Praktina IIA camera was released in February 1958 with the name "Praktina IIA". It has improved features, including a shutter with geometric speed settings and fully automatic diaphragm control. A new 2/50mm Pancolar lens and meter prism viewfinder were also introduced for all Praktina cameras. In 1960, KW released new accessories for both IIA and FX cameras.
