The Minolta Dynax 7000i was a high performance SLR camera released in 1988 that offered a wide range of features. This camera, also known as the Maxxum 7000i in North America and α-7700i in Japan, boasted popular modes like Program AE, Shutter priority AE, and Aperture priority AE, as well as TTL autoflash and a fast and precise AF system. It also offered a faster shutter speed of 1/4000s and a film advance of 3 frames per second, along with a new incompatible flash hot-shoe. The camera was compatible with the Minolta AF lens system and supported various accessories like remote cords. A standout feature of the 7000i was its unique expansion card system, which allowed for the addition of features and customization of the built-in AE modes, such as the sports action card.
